Your Archery Ontario board of Directors has had ongoing conversation with partners to revisit plans for the 2020 Outdoor Major Events. The current situation with the Covid19 Pandemic is evolving and we must be flexible and adapt.
As previously communicated, the Provincial Events were rescheduled for later into the season. To this end we remain status quo and should the health indicators allow for us to proceed, the dates for the re-scheduled events are as follows (tentatively):
- Field Championship – August 22nd – 23rd (Lambton-Kent Archers)
- Junior Challenge – August 29th – 30th (Wilderness Archers and AIM) Location TBD
- Target Championships – September 12th – 13th (Peterborough Archers)
- 3D Championships – September 19th – 20th (York County Bowman)
These events may be cancelled, based on provincial messages from Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and our government. The safety and well being of our archery community is our priority.
More information on the Framework To Reopen The Province is available online. As well as a link to information related to Covid19 Pandemic.
We will keep updating our messages and we want to thank you for your patience and continued collaboration as we work through this unusual season!
On behalf of the Board of Directors, please keep healthy and stay safe.
Rob Piette, President
