Archery has been included in the 2024 Ontario Winter Games in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It will be part of week 2 of the games, February 23-26, 2024.
Participants
Each zone will send 8 qualified athletes, one male and one female for each category.

Shooting will take place at Lakehead Archers (http://lakeheadarchers.com)
Itinerary
- Friday: arrive in TBay for 4pm - get dinner and Accomodations, go to opening ceremonies.
- Saturday: AM practice, PM team shoot
Every archer from every team will compete in the team shoot. Each team will shoot one match, the total from each athlete on each team will be added together and divided by the number of athletes on the team. This gives each team an ‘average score’ for their team. Medals will be awarded based on the highest averages for the teams. - Sunday: 600 round
Half of the athletes shoot in the morning, Half of the athletes will shoot in the afternoon.
Awards will be given based on highest score - Monday: Double elimination round - more details to come
Qualification
Archers must shoot a minimum of one registered WA 600 round at 18meters and send results to your zone director by September 15, 2023.

Miscellaneous
If parents/guardians/supporters plan on attending they are recommended to book hotels sooner rather than later, at this time there is no discount code for hotels.
A reminder to parents/guardians that athletes will stay in the provided accommodations from drop off day (Friday no later than 4pm) to Monday at 12pm when they can be picked up. No parents/guardians are allowed in the accommodations at any time. Athletes will remain in the trusted hands of their team coach and manager and are NOT permitted to leave the team at anytime. Leaving the supervision of the coach or manager at anytime can result in an athlete being disqualified from the event.
